Kunstpreis Andrea Neumann
The Andrea Neumann Art Prize is the continuation of the artistic and cultural work of Andrea Neumann (1969 - 2020). At home in Lorraine and Saarland and active in the Luxembourg art, the cohesion of the artistic scenes of the Greater Region was crucial to her. She is committed to fairer working conditions and a more accessible art market for artists in the region.
The call for applications is gender-neutral and without age restriction. It aims at visual art artists, curators and collectives who live and work in the Greater Region, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Lorraine, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland and Wallonia.
The Andrea Neumann Art Prize intends to finance a new project, its continuation or a new series of works. The project or result of the creation will be revealed as part of an exhibition at the Saarländisches Künstlerhaus. The prize of 5,000€ will be awarded when the winner(s) is announced, and the Saarländisches Künstlerhaus will publish an exhibition catalogue that will accompany the final exhibition.
The jury is made up of Christiane Schlechter from the Foundation, ME Saar, Anne-Marie Stöhr from the Saarländisches Künstlerhaus, Dr. Roland Mönig, the director of the Von-der Heydt-Museum Wuppertal, Alex Reding, CEO of Luxembourg Art Week and Ida Neumann.
The ME Saar Foundation is the exclusive patron of the “Andrea Neumann Art Prize”.
