Gallery Anne Barrault, dedicated to contemporary art,  opened in 1999, and moved to a new space, rue des Archives, in 2013, in the Marais district, Paris. Ever since the start, the gallery has committed itself to young artists. It has presented many first solo exhibitions, such as those of Tiziana la Melia, Stéphanie Saadé, Guillaume Pinard or Jochen Gerner, along with established artists such as Daniel Spoerri or Roland Topor.
From its opening twenty years ago, gallery Anne Barrault has constantly decompartmentalized, built up ties with different disciplines, as with Yona Friedman, the architect, she has exhibited, or Pacôme Thiellement, the writer, who has been the curator of an exhibition, and now Marie Losier, the movie-maker, who will have her very first exhibition in a gallery.
Monographs of some of the programmed artists have been published, such as those of Guillaume Pinard, Alun Williams or Ramuntcho Matta, for the latest. Every now and then, the gallery invites an independent curator who proposes a singular exhibition.
