Montoro12 Gallery

Montoro12 Gallery was founded in 2012 and opened its doors in early 2013 in the center of Rome, in Via di Montoro 12, with the goal to create an international dialogue and exhibit both emerging and established contemporary artists from all parts of the world. The gallery is particularly interested in artists that engage in innovative research and create formally captivating works of art in any medium.

Two years after its opening, the Montoro12 expanded its premises and in 2017 opened another gallery in the center of Brussels, Belgium. A year later the Rome gallery was replaced by an artist residence in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Rome, where the gallerists and interested collectors, critics and curators can follow the artists at work. The close contact with the creative process as well as the dialogue with the artists is an important part of our philosophy. The gallery promotes its artists by showing their work in both gallery and museum exhibitions as well as international art fairs and produces scholarly exhibition catalogues.

In 2019, our Brussels gallery moved to a large industrial space in Avenue van Volxem, which allows us to invite other galleries to collaborate or share the space. We also work closely with curators and museums and have placed our artists in important private and public collections all over the world.
