Baptiste Debombourg – Snowball (Esquisse finale)

11:00/14:00
Mudam Luxembourg, Foyer -1

Series of performances organised by Mudam Luxembourg as part of Luxembourg Art Week

With Julie Läderach (cellist), Stéphane Ghislain Roussel (staging and curation), Baptiste Debombourg (visual artist), Sébastien Roux (composer), Annabelle Locks (costume designer), Samuel Rodriguez (researcher), Stéphane Bottard (creation and lighting) and Loïc Lachaise (sound).

Snowball is a unique sensory experience at the heart of a work by the visual artist Baptiste Debombourg. Incorporating scientific, aural and musical chance effects, this immersive device takes the form of a three-dimensional installation with which cellist Julie Läderach interacts. The scientific research behind Snowball focuses on the interaction of sound and matter. The aim is to create a technological device that sits at the intersection of the work of the artist, the composer and the cellist, and enables a dialogue between music and visual art.

Snowball was developed by TUTTI Collective (Bordeaux) and Compagnie Ghislain Roussel- PROJETEN (Luxembourg).

Snowball is co-produced by OARA – Artistic Office of the New Aquitaine Region, Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, Université de Bordeaux and Festival FACTS – Biennale Arts et Sciences (Bordeaux), Espace Mendès France – Lieu Multiple (Poitiers), Fondation Martell (Cognac) and Cap Sciences (Bordeaux). Snowball receives support from Théâtre des 4 Saisons, Scène conventionnée Musiques (Gradignan), GMEA – Centre National de Création Musicale (Albi), City of Talence, Théâtre de Vanves, Scrime (Bordeaux), Gallia Théâtre (Saintes) and Festival 30-30 (Bordeaux).
