Che Go Eun is a contemporary South Korean artist known for her multidisciplinary work that encompasses painting, sculpture, installation, and digital media. A graduate of the Fine Arts program at Seoul National University, she explores themes related to identity, memory, and the transformation of nature through works often imbued with delicacy and poetry. She is a visual artist creating digital collages, drawings, 3D models, game design applications, and VR animation. She takes inspiration from love, video games, manga, anime, folklore, religion, and mythology. She is particularly drawn to the subject of "forgotten women" and researches historical female characters from both the West and Asia (such as Seon-nyeo, Kumiho, and Fiere Margriet). She collages these figures about current social issues, shedding light on their overlooked narratives. Che Go Eun currently lives and works in Seoul, where she regularly exhibits her work both nationally and internationally.
" Migi is a character from the comic book Parasyte. Migi, an alien, was supposed to parasitize the human brain, but by accident, Migi settled on Shinichi's right hand. As a result, his hand gained its own identity as "Migi" and lived as an individual. My right hand is the same—I constantly lose control, scrolling through my phone. I keep seeing images and texts on social media and the internet, constantly posting about my life and watching others' lives. Being monitored, and exposed to ads. The boundaries of private and public life have broken down. "
