For more than twenty years, Jérôme Zonder (born 1974 in Paris; lives and works in Paris) has been developing a virtuoso body of work, centred on the constantly reinvented practice of drawing. The variations in scale of his works – produced mainly in graphite and charcoal – generate a play of movement in space: the visitor wanders spatially and mentally through the mysteries of an extremely lively polygraphic system.
Jérôme Zonder's work has been the subject of solo exhibitions such as Au Village, Lieu Unique (Nantes, 2014); Fatum, Maison Rouge – Fondation Antoine de Galbert (Paris, 2015); The Dancing Room, Tinguely Museum (Basel, 2017); Devenir traces, Château de Chambord (2018), and Jérôme Zonder, Portraits, École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts (Paris, 2019). In 2024, the Musée d’art et d’histoire du Judaïsme in Paris will host a solo exhibition by the artist. Since 2016, Jérôme Zonder is represented by Galerie Nathalie Obadia, Paris/Brussels.
