“It might sound peculiar, but I believe there exists a dimension between 2D and 3D: my renditions of skylines, fantasy cityscapes, feel like a kind of graphic visage, almost 2.5D! At times, I’m inclined towards a fine and detailed execution using traditional materials, while other times, I opt for rough scrap wood or ‘lesser’ honeycomb cardboard. The skylines are all unique and come to life spontaneously... just by starting, building like a child.” – Floris Hovers Hovers likens it to a form of composing (and improvising), considering height, low, short, long, wide, color, atmosphere, etc.
