Galerie Sturm & Schober was founded in January 2020 as a merger of Galerie Michael Sturm Stuttgart and Bäckerstrasse4 Vienna. The gallery space is located in the heart of Vienna and has since been one of the best addresses in the city. Galerie Michael Sturm, founded in 1996 in Stuttgart, Germany, has worked with international artists such as Bridget Riley, Max Cole, Marcia Hafif, Frank Badur and Russell Maltz. Bäckerstrasse4, founded in Vienna in 2008, has focused from the beginning on the development of young, international artists, selected by a distinguished jury, such as Eckhard Schneider, Andrew Renton, Adam Budak and Schmidt Wulffen. Galerie Sturm & Schober, Galerie Michael Sturm and bäckerstrasse4 have been exhibitors at the most important fairs in Austria and Germany as well as international fairs, including ArtBo (Bogotá), Zona Maco (Mexico City), Parc Lima, Untitled Miami, Solo Project Basel and Art Brussels.
