The Intersections gallery, founded in Singapore in 2012 by the French Marie-Pierre Mol, has made a specialty of Burmese contemporary art. However, the gallery also endeavors to represent Singaporean and foreign artists, thereby striving to build bridges from one culture to another. The name of the gallery - Intersections - expresses the identity of Singapore, this multicultural platform at the crossroads between East and West and a land of commercial, religious and cultural exchanges. The selected works always have a conceptual content, but are intended to be accessible to all audiences because of their aesthetic value. They tell a story related to Asian culture and constitute a common language that allows us to transcend cultural differences. Intersections is also the meeting point between different artistic mediums. As such, the artists represented by the gallery are painters as well as sculptors, ceramists, photographers, poets and even dancers. Marie-Pierre graduated in art history with a specialisation in Asia (Master of Goldsmith-Lasalle Singapore). Intersections clients range from institutions such as the National Gallery of Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board to individuals supported in the development of Asian art collections. The Intersections gallery participated in all editions of the contemporary art fair Art Stage Singapore from 2015 to 2018, at Art Paris Art Fair in 2015 and 2016, SEA FOCUS (Singapore) and Asia Now (Paris, France) in 2019.
