Galerie GO ART (formerly Galerie Schlassgoart) was founded in 1993 on the initiative of the ARBED group, now ArcelorMittal. It is a non-profit association. Since its inception, it has shown over 200 solo and group exhibitions, involving some 350 contemporary artists.
Galerie GO ART presents its exhibitions in the spaces of the Pavillon du Centenaire/ArcelorMittal, an architecturally audacious steel building designed by Benedetta Tagliabue (EMBT Architects). Located on rue Arthur Useldinger, the building was donated to the City of Esch-sur-Alzette by ArcelorMittal Luxembourg on the occasion of the city's centenary in 2006.
As a non-profit association, Galerie GO ART is not a commercial art gallery. Contact is direct between exhibiting artists and buyers. Artists benefit from favorable exhibition conditions, thanks to resources provided by the patronage of ArcelorMittal Luxembourg and the financial support of the “Friends of the Gallery”.
Galerie GO ART's mission is to promote contemporary art in all its forms, and to be a space for socio-cultural encounters and exchanges open to art lovers and the general public.
Through its exhibitions, Galerie GO ART is proud to contribute to the diversity of Esch-sur-Alzette's cultural offerings.
