This programme highlights a selection of works presented by the fair’s galleries, all priced at a maximum of €4,000 and easily identifiable thanks to a dedicated sticker. The initiative seeks to break down symbolic or financial barriers that can sometimes discourage curiosity, and to encourage everyone to live their first experience as a collector. Beyond the visibility given to these works in the aisles of the fair, Collecting 101 is an invitation to engage in dialogue with gallerists and artists, to ask questions, and to discover the diversity of media, subjects, and contemporary practices.
With this initiative, Luxembourg Art Week reaffirms its commitment to democratizing collecting and opening the fair to a wider, curious, and emerging audience, while fostering dialogue and long-term relationships between collectors, artists, and gallerists. In this spirit, Collecting 101 guides visitors in their first steps as collectors through a journey of discovery, strengthening the fair’s role as a platform for encounters between the art scene and its publics.
