Schlassgoart Gallery

The Galerie Schlassgoart was founded in 1993 on the initiative of the ARBED Group, which has since become ArcelorMittal. It is constituted as a non-profit association.

Since the beginning of its activity, it has shown more than 90 individual and collective exhibitions, in which around 200 contemporary artists have participated.

The Galerie Schlassgoart organizes its exhibitions in the premises of the Centennial Pavilion/ArcelorMittal. This steel building with a daring architecture, located rue Arthur Useldinger, was offered to the City of Esch-sur-Alzette by ArcelorMittal Luxembourg on the occasion of the Centenary of the City.

Due to its status as a non-profit association, the Galerie Schlassgoart is not a shopping art gallery. The contact is direct between the exhibiting artists and the buyers. The artists benefit from favourable exhibition conditions thanks to the resources coming from the patronage of ArcelorMittal Luxembourg and the financial support of the " Amis de la Galerie ".

The Galerie Schlassgoart's mission is to promote contemporary art in all its forms and to be a space for socio-cultural encounters and exchanges open to art lovers and the general public.

Through its exhibitions, the Galerie Schlassgoart is proud to contribute to the diversity of the cultural offer of the City of Esch-sur-Alzette.
