At a time when artificial intelligence is making inroads into all areas of creation, the question of its role and influence in the art world is increasingly pressing. This roundtable aims to explore these issues through the perspectives of a lawyer, a gallerist, and an artist. Topics will include copyright, intellectual property, and the legal status of artworks, as well as how the art market receives these creations, oscillating between fascination and skepticism, and the challenges of valuation for collectors. Finally, the artist will speak to examine their relationship with AI-assisted or AI-generated creation, the very notion of inspiration, and the resulting boundaries and perceptions.
