Edward Steichen's Nature

Lët'z Arles

Following collaborations centered on Romain Urhausen in 2022 and Michel Medinger in 2024, the City of Luxembourg is once again partnering with Lët’z Arles to present an exceptional exhibition in Merl Park, complementing the Arles exhibition Edward Steichen's Nature.

Based on a selection curated by Ruud Priem (curator of the fine arts collections at the MNAHA), the summer exhibition at Parc de Merl explores the theme of nature through reproductions of the most iconic works from Luxembourg’s collections: the MNAHA, the Photothèque de la Ville de Luxembourg, and the Spuerkeess.

Set in the idyllic surroundings of the park, with its trees and flowers, the exhibition route offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in seven decades of the artist’s creative work and his passion for flowers, botany, and the natural world.

To mark the exhibition and at the initiative of the Ville de Luxembourg, a garden of delphiniums is being planted by the City’s Parks Department near the reproductions, thus paying tribute to Steichen’s passion for these delicate flowers, in which he had become a renowned expert.
