Jan Voss at Villa BGL

BGL BNP Paribas and Luxembourg Art Week are pleased to present a solo exhibition of German artist Jan Voss at Villa, the Private Banking Center of BGL BNP Paribas, located on Boulevard Royal.

Jan Voss was born in 1936 in Hamburg, Germany. He lives and works between Paris and Berlin. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich from 1956 to 1960, the German painter settled permanently in Paris. He served as a professor at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he taught from 1987 to 1992. A monograph by Yves Michaud was published in 2001, followed by another by Anne Tronche in 2015. He has had major exhibitions, including at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dunkirk in 2002, the Palais Synodal in Sens in 2008, the Museum Arnhem in the Netherlands in 2010, and the André Malraux Contemporary Art Space in Colmar in 2021. His works are now part of many museum collections, including the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dunkirk, and Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.

Exhibition 14 to 24 November 2024, open weekdays from 16:30 to 19:00 PM and on weekends from 10:30 to 18:00.
