A dialogue in the making
Can artists and companies do more together than exchange visibility for funding? Charlotte in red brings this question to Luxembourg Art Week with a roundtable gathering two artists and a corporate representative, moderated by Patrizia Luchetta. The discussion is part of "The Art of Change – Creatives (on the) Move", Charlotte in red's flagship project. Launched in Luxembourg in September 2025 with a short documentary portraying dancer Sylvia Camarda, sculptor and filmmaker Katarzyna Kot and singer-songwriter Hembadoon, the project travels from city to city – the next edition will take place in Lisbon -, featuring local female artists whose work advances the Sustainable Development Goals. Each edition pairs a freely accessible documentary with a public roundtable between artists and business leaders.
Its premise is simple and demanding: sustainable change is built by ecosystems, not by single actors. Governments, companies, civil society — and artists — each hold part of the answer. Creativity is the underestimated "glue" that shifts narratives, builds shared identities and inspires collective ownership of change. The project therefore positions artists not as beneficiaries of corporate generosity, but as full-fledged partners in co-creating solutions. Luxembourg Art Week is a fitting place to test that premise. For a few days, artists, galleries, collectors, institutions and business leaders share the same floor. The roundtable invites them to move from patronage to partnership: what does genuine co-creation require, where do interests converge, and what has to change on both sides for it to work?Charlotte in red is a non-profit initiative documenting and connecting female artists whose practice contributes to social and environmental change.
Biographies
Patrizia Luchetta is a Luxembourg-based strategist with nearly three decades of experience at the intersection of public policy, business and sustainability. She led the development and implementation of Luxembourg's national strategy in biomedical life sciences before returning to the private sector, where she now supports companies in refining their vision and advancing transformative ESG and sustainability agendas. Over the past 15 years, she has also served as a non-executive board member for listed companies, public institutions and non-profits. Throughout her career, Patrizia has consistently initiated and curated cultural events and projects, most notably "Dzigning the Timeline – Inclusive Design for the Elderly", featured as part of the Design City LXBG Biennale 2016. With Charlotte in red and its flagship initiative "The Art of Change – Creatives (on the) Move", these two threads converge. The project brings together artists, businesses and institutions through documentaries and public events to co-shape human-centred responses to the UN Sustainable Development Goals — a culmination of earlier ventures and, in many ways, a legacy uniting her commitment to sustainability with her lifelong engagement with the creative world.
Itamar Gilboa is an Amsterdam-based artist whose work explores the intersections of art, technology, science, and the environment. Through detailed research and data collection, he creates immersive sculptural installations that blend poetic sensibility with research-based inquiry. His practice transforms intimate personal data into statistical narratives, prompting reflection on both individual and collective human experience. Drawing from his body, habits, memories, and migrations, Gilboa uses the self not as a subject to be portrayed, but as a vehicle through which broader social, political, and ethical questions are examined. This introspective approach naturally extends into activism, as his work seeks not only to reflect the world, but to confront it. Through installations that challenge systems of inequality, overconsumption, and injustice, he uses art as a catalyst for awareness and change. His process combines observation and intuition, tracking patterns and distilling lived experience into sculptural form. With fragile materials, monochrome repetition, and clinical aesthetics, he evokes themes of vulnerability, excess, and control. By revealing the private within public systems, Gilboa’s work invites contemplation on our roles as consumers, citizens, and participants in global systems. His art does not offer answers, but opens space for critical reflection and ethical action.
Tina Gillen is a Luxembourgish visual artist based in Belgium. For more than twenty-five years, she has developed a practice spanning painting, drawing and installation, exploring the relationships between landscape, architecture, space and perception. Her work focuses on transitional spaces, where the boundaries between interior and exterior, presence and absence, reality and projection become fluid. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Luxembourg Pavilion of the 59th Venice Biennale, M Leuven, BOZAR Brussels, Mudam Luxembourg and Konschthal Esch. Alongside her artistic practice, she is a professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, where she supervises master’s students in developing their artistic research. Through her work, Tina Gillen reflects on how our natural, built and mental environments shape our experience of the world. Rather than o ering direct answers, her practice creates a space for reflection on changing landscapes, contemporary society and the ways we inhabit the world.
