Luxembourg Art Week has entrusted this year’s wall-free Café space to the artist duo Celeste, composed of María Fernanda Camarena (Guadalajara, 1988) and Gabriel Rosas Alemán (Mexico City, 1983). Their collaborative practice unfolds through a constant dialogue, giving rise to pictorial and sculptural forms that balance interiority with openness to the world. Celeste’s abstract vocabulary, nourished by geometries and sensitive rhythms, calls upon archetypal elements—celestial bodies, architectures, human scales—that resonate both symbolically and chromatically.
For Café Celeste, the duo has conceived a dynamic environment, midway between mural painting and immersive installation. These expansive compositions, imagined as portable structures, transform the space into a place of hospitality where visitors are invited to move beyond simple contemplation. Through a subtle interplay of forms and colors, Celeste’s intervention creates moments of closeness and exchange, blurring familiar structures to open a space for shared experience.
